More about Coaching

“A bird sitting on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking, because its trust is not on the branch, but on its own wings..." (Charlie Wardle)

Coaching takes a collaborative approach to development that helps identify strengths, dreams and direction in professional and everyday life. There are times when we may feel stuck and could benefit from a dedicated space to explore next steps.

Coaching empowers and facilitates growth. Focus areas may include cultivating leadership, embracing professional authority, improving decision making, navigating change, choosing personal success, embedding creativity and embracing adversity.

Coaching is usually short term and solution focussed. Through building strengths it catalyses change, helping to achieve goals. It differs from psychotherapy which is usually long-term and specifically works with mental health needs as well as wellbeing.

I offer psychological systemic coaching that lends itself well to businesses and individuals alike. It understands that transformation is part of our wider context, e.g. work, culture, family. In other words change does not take place in isolation but rather as part of a dynamic process that is entirely, 'relational'.

Coaching is a dynamic process that can have lasting benefit. It offers a confidential space to explore the steps for change.

Is coaching for me?

As a Systemic and embodied coach my focus is to help you identify your strengths and achieve your goals through active and creative exploration.

My approach has a psychological underpinning which I have found to be powerful and effective when driving holistic change in ambitious and professional settings.

We will work together using a variety of methods including cognitive knowing, emotional knowing, intuitive knowing and embodied knowing. We may also work with tools such as: imagination, visualisation, movement, mapping and creativity.

This approach to coaching is holistic and understands the profound inter-connection of individuals and their environment. It is well-suited to the unpredictable, volatile and complex challenges faced by us all in today’s turbulent world. It also lends itself well to working outdoors or online.

A warm-hearted welcome awaits youAs a white woman in my 50's, I am working to make my practice inclusive of difference and commonality, including race, age, religion, sexuality, class, ableism and gender.
